Biography

Rui Melício (R. Melicio; R. Melico) received the MSc degree from the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Lisbon, Portugal, in 2004, the PhD degree from the University of Beira Interior (UBI), in 2010, Portugal, the Post-PhD from Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, Centre for Innovation in Electrical and Energy Engineering, IST, UBI, and Lisbon Superior Engineering Institute, Portugal, in 2012, Habilitation from the University of Évora (UE), Évora, Portugal, in 2014, respectively. He is currently a Senior Researcher at IDMEC, IST, University of Lisbon and an Assistant Professor with Habilitation at UE, Portugal. He has worked more the 20 years in the electrical and oil industries. He has participated in national and international projects. He has authored or co-authored of: patents; peer-reviewed papers presented at book chapters, international conferences or published in journals; prototypes and technical reports, advance search field tags: AU = Melicio R*. OR AU = Melicio R. and Melico R. He has co-supervised Post-Ph.Ds, Ph.D. and M.Sc. students. Project reviewer for the Portuguese Agency for Innovation. His research interests include: power electronics and its applications; power systems management and operation; renewable energies; smart grids. Also, he has won Best Paper Awards at Conferences.
